Firewall Questions

i need to use a different firewall other than only using vista's firewall by itself . do any of you have any trouble free firewalls you can recommend ? mcafee , norton and zone alarm firewalls are out of the question . i had too many problems with them . all comments are welecomed . thanks and happy holidays .
